Monkey Slots - Town Unites In Favor of Slots
Normally, when the issue of slot machines comes up in rural areas it is a
given it will insight a hotbed of controversy. Pennsylvania as a whole has
not been that entirely far from this reaction up until this point, some
clamor to be the first to get the slot machines and cite the increased tax
income flowing into their area as a primary reason to woo the gaming
commission to allow them to host some of the new slot machines, while others
protest the slot arrivals, fearing the social ramifications. But one of the
towns in Pennsylvania that applied for slot machines, and would be a
candidate for such a controversy as above stated, is remarkably on the same
page when it come to the welcoming of the one arm bandits into their small
town.
Seven Springs, Pennsylvania is in hot pursuit to be one of the town to
receive slot machines, and the gaming commission visited the town as it
toured the different locations being considered for licenses. And like their
other stops the gaming commission would mediate a presentation which is then
followed by a talk back open to the public. Unlike, most of the other locals
that the gaming commission visited, Seven Springs seemed to have quite a bit
of support from not only the governmental figures in the community but even
the citizen who came out to show their support for getting slot machines
into their community.
The slot parlor that they are hoping for is intended to be slightly more
than that, and actually achieve a more sophisticated gaming environment with
a mountain resort hotel that will also feature slot machines. The proposed
Seven Springs resort slot casino is slated to create at least three hundred
and fifty new jobs for the area. The state as a whole is hoping to benefit
from almost one billion in tax dollars to benefit the states organizations.
Right now there is some complaint over the appearance that the majority of
the money is being disproportionately distributed to the older segment of
the state population. Although, there are also those who feel that poverty
is disproportionately distributed among the elderly population as it is. |
