Texas officials have revealed a slot machine gambling ring that has possible links to terrorists in Pakistan. Over thirty different people were revealed as being co-conspirators in an illegal slot machine ring that has raked in upwards of fifteen million dollars in just two years of activity.

Officials have already arrested a majority of those concerned and also seized their bank accounts in order to start the official process of investigation which could last another eighteen months. One officer explains why this incident is of such magnitude, "This investigation potentially is the largest this department could ever be involved in, There is more money, more players and more opportunity for nefarious activity."

The initial investigation began nearly one full year ago and has led to the recovery of over seven hundred and thirty slot machines of the eight pay-out line variety. The machines themselves are not considered illegal in the state, but the amount of money being used to wager on the machines is what officially made the activity illegal. Normally only such slot machines can be played if they are being use recreationally and only giving out non-cash prizes worth no more than five dollars.
