Monkey Slots - FOXWOODS SLOTS GROW WITH MGM HELP

One of the largest slot machine filled casinos in the Northeast is preparing for an expansion with the help of a familiar name in the casino and slot machine industry. Foxwoods and MGM Mirage Inc. have decided to announce their massive collaboration on an expansion of the current Foxwoods Resort by the Nantucket Pequot Tribe in Connecticut. The expansion is slated to cost over seven hundred million dollars, and includes a new resort hotel along with a casino and fifteen hundred additional slot machines all bearing the brand of MGM.

The Foxwoods Resort itself is interested in expanding its convention and entertainment business to include the resources of MGM's already present 22 million customer base that spans multiple countries, not to mention 24 states. MGM looks forward to entering the prosperous Northeastern casino and slot machine scene with the guiding hand of a giant in that particular market. The two company's plan to expand their relationship beyond the Connecticut casin to reach such exotic destinations as the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The Northeastern expansion, however, is the main focus of their collaboration at this point with a 825 room luxury hotel, a convention center plus ballroom, stylish nightclubs, and a 5,000 seat theatre in order to utilize the MGM wealth of high profile entertainment connections. And given the state arrangement with the tribe to receive one-quarter of all profits from slot machines, there is sure to be little resistance for the area of governmental approval given the overall increase of revenues delegated toward the state itself.
